Apps


Some of the apps available in FACE-IT are developed by outside groups and are managed and documented elsewhere. Others are developed by us and are managed and documented here. Here's a list and brief description of some of the key tools that are available in FACE-IT. 

Models
FACE-IT currently contains two crop models which are DSSAT and APSIM, with different released versions and versions that have tailored to different simulation purposes. 

DSSAT 4.5 Easy-SIM
DSSAT is a family of crop models that can used to simulate the impact of environment and management on crops. This version is released version 4.5 but has been adjusted to utilize in global gridded simulation, with simplified inputs and harmonized output.

APSIM 7.5 Easy-SIM
APSIM is a farming system model that simulates the effects of environmental variables and management decisions on crop yield, profits, and ecological outcomes. This is the released version 7.5, and being tailored to use in global gridded simulation.

APSIM 7.7 Easy-SIM
Same as APSIM 7.5 Easy-Sim, but contains the released APSIM version of 7.7

DSSAT Plus
It is a set of tools, including the functionality of DSSAT 4.5 App, translators from JSON to DSSAT, and from DSSAT output to ACMO.

APSIM Plus
A set of tools, including the functionality of APSIM 7.5 App, translators from JSON TO APSIM, and from APSIM output to ACMO.

DSSAT Plus for Multi-GCM
Designed for AgMIP RIA simulation. It is same as DSSAT Plus, but with functionality that run the batch for multi GCMs scenarios. 

APSIM Plus for Multi-GCM
Designed for AgMIP RIA simulation. It is same as APSIM Plus, but with functionality that run the batch for multi GCMs scenarios.

Many apps are organized based on the purpose of simulation, especially the workflow. We contain the tools three categories: Single-GCM, Sensitivity Analysis, and Multi-GCM. This organization facilitate the simulation of AgMIP RIA, which targets on single and multi GCM simulation, as well as sensitivity analysis, such as C3MP and CTWN.
Single-GCM Tools
QuadUI_RIA
Translate data into JSON, an unified AgMIP data format. It is used by all Model Plus series Apps.

DSSAT_Plus
Same as DSSAT Plus in Models.

APSIM_Plus
Same as APSIM Plus in Models.

Standardplots_ria
It generates standard box and CDF plot for ACMO output.

Plot AcmoOutput Relationship
It produces correlation plots between different ACMO variables, helping simulators analyzing their simulation outputs.

Sensitivity Analysis Tools
QuadUI_RIA
Same as QuadUI_RIA in Single-GCM Tools.

DSSAT_Plus
Same as DSSAT Plus in Models.

APSIM_Plus
Same as APSIM Plus in Models.

Plot for Sensitivity Analysis
It produces the sensitivity plots (box or CDF) for CTWN analysis. 

Multi-GCM Tools
QuadUI for Multi-GCM
Same as QuadUI_RIA, but available for batch simulation of multi-GCMs.

DSSAT Plus for Multi-GCM
Same as DSSAT Plus in Models.

APSIM Plus for Multi-GCM
Same as APSIM Plus in Models.

It generates standard plots for simulation outputs




AgMIP
AgMIP tools are designed for a number of applications around the impacts of climate change on crops and food production. These tools are primarily designed for use by the AgMIP modeling community and includes many standard data-types and common workflows that are being developed within AgMIP. 

Download East Africa Dataset
This tool downloads (via http) data used for the East Africa Demo. It provides options for Region, Climate Model, RCP scenario, and time slice.

QuadUI 
QuadUI is developed, maintained, and documented by the AgMIP IT team at the University of Florida. It contains a number of translator plug-ins to work with different crop models and can be extended to work with any format and model. QuadUI processes standard AgMIP data inputs into the custom formats required for different crop and climate impact models.

AcmoUI 
AcmoUI is developed, maintained, and documented by the AgMIP IT team at the University of Florida. AcmoUI processes custom model-specific output formats from different crop and climate impact models into an AgMIP standard format.

Converts from CSV data to AgMIP ACEB format

DSSAT 
The popular DSSAT family of crop models can be used to simulate the impact of environment and management on crops.  

AcmoPlot
AcmoPlot is a lightweight general-purpose python utility for plotting multi-dimensional crop model outputs. More info and links soon to come.

Converts from JSON format to native DSSAT format
