How do I change the datatype of input files?
If one of the files needed to run a workflow is in your current history but does not show up when you try to run your workflow, the file may not be of the right datatype for the expected input. Here, the survey data is in the current history on the right, but does not populate the Survey CSV Data field:

To change the datatype of the survey file, click the pencil symbol for "Edit attributes". On the next screen, click Datatypes at the top of the page. From the drop down menu, select survey_zip. This new type will change with the file you are working with. Save the new datatype and return to the workflow.
The survey data file should now show up automatically in the Survey CSV Data field.

How do I publish or share my histories and workflows?
To publish a workflow, click on Workflow at the top of the screen. Click the saved workflow you want to publish and select Share or Publish from the drop down menu. This will take you to a new screen where you have the choice to make the workflow shareable through a link, available to any FACE-IT user, or share with a specific user.

To share a history, switch to the history you want to share and name it appropriately. Go to the front page of FACE-IT by clicking FACE-IT | Galaxy  in the upper left corner. Click on the gear symbol above your history name. From the drop down menu select Share or Publish. You will have the same three sharing options described above for workflows.

Note: When naming your published workflow or history, please try to give a descriptive name and add keywords such as "DEMO" or "BUG REPORT". If you are updating an old workflow, make it clear that it is a new version and consider deleting the old version.

Sometimes a history will not immediately show up in your current history panel. Try refreshing your browser or click the refresh symbol above your history panel.

How can I delete histories?
By clicking the gear symbol on the history panel you can select Delete or Delete Permanently.
You can see previously deleted histories by clicking on the gear and selecting Saved Histories. Below the search bar, click Advanced Search then select deleted as the status. Histories that have the status of either "deleted" or "permanently deleted" will now appear in your search. Notice that permanently deleted histories take up no disk space; if histories have already been permanently deleted they can not be restored. However, you can select deleted histories and choose to delete them permanently or restore them from the menu at the bottom of the screen.

How can I customize my plot output?
The plotting tools in FACE-IT provide options to adjust the output variables along with the file format, colors, and labels of graphs. To customize your output select the workflow you are running and click the output tool block from your canvas. Notice there are options on the right tool panel to configure features of the output tool. Remember to add inputs to the plot tools to connect them to your data and models. Inputs are added by from the tool panel on the right. (On the Standardplots_ria tool shown, there is a button to Add new Acmo_csv.)

For example, to the right is the Standardplots_ria tool. It has the options to change the plot title, variable, plot type, output labels, and colors. The Plot Climate Scenarios Anomaly similarly contains menus to change the variable, plot type, and output format.

I ran a workflow. How can I download my results?
The results of your workflow will show up in your history. To download them click the file you want to download to expand the file and see additional options. Click the disk symbol to download and save the file.
Note: You can do the same with input files or data you have imported from shared histories.

Can I access AgMIP data in FACE-IT?
You can access AgMIP data from the AgMIP Browser interface available from the Get Data menu. The tool acts just as the AgMIP Data Interchange would and imports data directly into FACE-IT.

How can I run historical or future models?
To run a historical model using the QuadUI tool, set the DOME Type to Field Overlay Only.
Running a historical model does not require a seasonal strategy input.
To run future scenarios, change the DOME type to Seasonal Strategy. A Seasonal Strategy DOME input should now show up on the QuadUI tool and an input will show up when the workflow is run.
